Bill Marsoun is a graduate of Illinois State University with an education degree in mathematics and art. I am a life long resident of the Illinois Quad Cities. I taught mathematics and art at Washington Junior High for 35 years. I am, a scenic artist, set designer and book director for many Quad City theaters. I have been the primary scene designer and scenic artist for the Quad City Music Guild for the past forty years.
I believe that art is entertainment. At first I attempted to be a picture perfect artist.  Then I found realism is a state of mind. I paint in a realistic manner but add a touch of fantasy.  This doesn't mean trolls, fairies or wizards fill my paintings.  I want people to think, why is this golf hole in this deep forrest? Or, how can there be that much color in one garden? Maybe it is the theatrical director in me, but when I see people looking at my work for a long time, I know they are entertained.

I live with my wife Cathy in Rock Island and have two adult children: Beth and Rich.
